The chic behind it all
I am Melanie Strong, the owner of Stronger Events Planning & Designing.
I am a 27-year-old mom of four ( dogs and cats count as children, right?). I am married to my amazing husband, who supports me in every way and in everything I do, including occasionally being my assistant on wedding days.
I started my business because I love,LOVE, and planning and decorating!!
The love that started it all
Who doesn’t want a job celebrating a couple’s love story?!
Whenever a special occasion arises, I’ve always been the one in my family to host the parties and plan the big moments — including my own wedding in 2021. Being an event planner and decorator has always been my dream, and through Stronger Events, I’ve turned that dream into a purpose-driven passion.
As a woman of color, I want to show my daughter that we can achieve anything we put our minds to — and that love, hard work, and kindness can open any door. I also believe in spreading love not just to people, but to our planet. That’s why I encourage all my couples to use biodegradable and eco-friendly products whenever possible. Together, we can be the change, not the cause.
My mission is to make wedding planning feel easy, inspiring, and full of joy. With our custom wedding portal, you’ll have every tool and resource at your fingertips — no need to reinvent the wheel when everything has been thoughtfully designed for you as a couple.
Where it all began
Stronger Events was created at the start of 2022. But it was in the works during COVID, when I was planning my wedding.
I have always had a passion for planning and have always been a type-A person, but I never truly loved what I did.
After planning my wedding and falling in love with the process and the wedding community itself, my life clicked into place when I started planning weddings at my Dream venue! Being a wedding planner for them truly unlocked this passion inside of me. I want to share my joy of love with my couples and have the privilege of doing what I love for myself and my family. Doing a job that I love lets me be the best version of myself in every aspect of my life, and I am honored to have a chance to plan YOUR wedding.
